On March 24th, 2001, an official introduction was organized by Past District Governor Lion Edwin Yun for the twinning of our club with the Taipei New Grand Lions Club. The two clubs have a lot in common. As a result of the amendment to the constitution of the Lions Clubs International in 1981, Lionesses were encouraged to acquire the full membership status by registering as a Lions Club.The Taipei New Grand Lions Club was formerly a Lioness Club with the initiative and the enthusiastic support of its Past Presidents, a new female Lions Club was chartered on June 12th 1977.
Since the twinning, the two clubs have enjoyed a deep friendship. Members from both clubs actively attend each other’s installation ceremonies every year, offering support and congratulations, which fully demonstrates the unity and camaraderie among sister Lions clubs.
