Our Services - Theme Project

Theme Project

The service theme for our 2026-2027 President, Lion Monique Yip, is “LOVE”:
Connecting the world with love, fostering inclusion, and sustaining our culture.

  • L — Love: Serving others with unconditional love, extending deep care to the elderly and diverse communities.
  • O — Opportunity: Creating platforms and opening horizons in the Greater Bay Area to unlock endless possibilities for youth.
  • V — Vitality: Igniting inner drive, promoting holistic well-being, and gathering positive energy across society.
  • E — Empowerment: Uplifting one another, supporting underprivileged students, and enabling the next generation to unleash their potential.

Here, everyone can experience a magnificent transformation, achieving personal growth while elevating others.
When you choose to walk with love, your value blossoms naturally —— “If flowers bloom, butterflies will come.”

Our service initiatives for this year include:

  1. Sustaining Elder Care: Honoring seniors as our primary focus through regular and diverse engagement activities.
  2. Empowering Youth Horizons: Facilitating Greater Bay Area exploration trips to introduce smart technology and future career paths.
  3. Driving Community Health: Reaching out to ethnic minorities and grassroots families for vital liver and vascular health screenings.
  4. Executing Global Initiatives: Actively executing global service projects advocated by Lions Clubs International.

Lions Club of Central hosted our annual New Year luncheon party for 500 elders to welcome the year of the rat. In addition to sumptuous food and entertaining performances, all guests had also received beautiful calligraphy of ‘Huaichun’ and gift bags stuffed with goodies and full of our blessings

Children cancer has always been a focal service item of Lions Clubs International. Our club organised a workshop for children who had suffered from cancers to teach them the technique of making and decorating soaps.  All children were smiling contently after finishing their own masterpieces.

Co-organized with Cordis Hotel, our club arranged a commendable buffet celebrating Christmas for 50 muscular dystrophy patients and their families. Due to their physical conditions, these patients usually find it difficult to have buffets at a regular restaurant, therefore arranging the buffet in a five-star hotel makes this event especially memorable for them.

We celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival for about 100 members from the Association for the Prevention of Elder Abuse. In addition to offering food to these lone living elders; music therapy programs, Tai Chi exercises were also arranged.   Our gift bags, of course, also made them feel the warmth of caring from Lions Club of Central
